Past Members of Group Thomas Burgoyne BSc PhD PhD Student - Qualified March 2010. For his PhD, Tom used electron tomography to investigate the I-band in striated muscle in order to find the mechanism of the transformation of the square lattice at the Z-line to hexagonal in the A-band. Tom is currently working at the Brompton Hospital investigating the ultrastructure of airway cilia in patients with PCD (primary ciliary dyskinesia).
